Cherry Ricalde
I am a Sculptor who loves to experiment with mixed media, such as wax, clay & polymer clay, resin, marble, wood, glass and metals such as bronze & aluminium. My interest in geology has led to my incorporating beautiful stone of all kinds in my work.
I am also a Photographer specialising in Portraiture, Natural History, Travel and Macro and travelled the world to find subjects that stimulate me to create unique images.
I am passionate about my sculpture much of which has been inspired by The Feminist/#MeToo
Movement. Some of my work is entitled: Women Think Too, A Woman's Helping Hand, Say Nothing, Equal Pay, Women's World and Glass Ceiling. I have also recently done a series of sculptures on a Cubism Theme, including some using CGI ( Computer Generated Imaging ) and 3D Additive Polylactic Acid Fibre printing. I have also worked with stone artisans and bronze Foundries in Pietrasanta in Italy, the cradle of Sculpture, and have learned so much from them.
